There will also be a number of intelligence-related events/meetings alongside the conference itself, some sponsored by ISS. These will consist of:

  • Intelligence Studies Section Business Meeting (Wednesday at 12:30pm)
  • Intelligence Studies Section Distinguished Scholar Reception in honor of Loch Johnson (sponsored by Oxford University Press, Praeger/ABC-CLIO; and Routledge) (Wednesday at 7pm)
  • A film showing of the documentary Our Man in Tehran, which was described as follows: 
    "Canadian filmmakers set the record straight with the help of real-life Canadian hero Ken Taylor, former Ambassador to Iran, who was actually responsible for the high-risk rescue of six U.S. citizens trapped in Iran.” (Thursday at 7:30pm)
  • Pherson Associates Reception (Thursday at 7:30pm)
  • An additional ISS Meeting involving a discussion on the impact of NSA files disclosure on intelligence studies with Pete Gill, Richard Aldrich, Melina Dobson, Julian Richards and Wesley Wark (Friday at 6:30pm)
